Red Brick started in the winter of 2021 with a simple idea, a lot of ambition, and a small shack in Wellington Market.

What began as a humble outdoor venue quickly became a bit of a local favourite. Before long, our little spot was bringing people together from across Telford for great food, good drinks, live music and stand-up comedy nights that packed the place out with crowds of hundreds.

It was never just about what we served—it was about creating a vibe. A place where people could turn up, relax, meet friends, discover something new and enjoy a proper atmosphere.

As Red Brick grew, so did the dream.

We wanted to take that energy and create something bigger. A place that captured the feeling of a city venue—the kind of place where the day naturally flows into the night. Somewhere you can grab a coffee at 7am, work for a few hours, catch up over lunch, meet friends after work, enjoy a few drinks, listen to live DJs and stay until late.

In 2025, we took the leap and started transforming our new home on Castle Street, Shrewsbury.

It hasn't always been easy. Old buildings have a way of revealing surprises, and what started as a fit-out quickly turned into a bigger journey than we first imagined. But every challenge has helped shape Red Brick into what it is today.

We've come a long way from that little shack in Wellington Market.

Now, Red Brick is a two-floor, seven-day-a-week venue right in the heart of Shrewsbury.

Roll in off the high street and straight into the heart of Red Brick, where our open kitchen and bar are serving up New York-style hand-rolled bagels, the very best coffee from Allpress Espresso, and a space designed to make you want to stay a while.

With comfortable seating inside and out, it's the perfect spot to grab a coffee, catch up with friends, meet for lunch or settle in for the day. Downstairs, our basement offers a little more space to escape—a place to plug in and get some work done away from the distractions, or slow things down in the evening with a cocktail, wine or beer.

And then there's the view. Our front windows give you one of the best spots in town to sit back and watch Shrewsbury happen. The perfect place for people watching, catching up, or simply losing a few hours over great food and drinks.

Red Brick is about bringing a little bit of city energy to the town. A place that changes with the time of day, but always delivers the same things: great service, the best ingredients, and an atmosphere you’ll want to come back to.
